Though it actually starts June 21, many consider this Memorial Day weekend the unofficial start of summer. And with that in mind, we asked some of our on-air personalities what song (ideally with a video) feels like, sounds like or simply reminds them of summer…

Frank Ski: “Summertime,” DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince. (Frank actually went to his Donald Byrd collection first – “Rock Creek Park,” by the Blackbyrds; but there’s no video for that).

Wanda Smith: “Wild Wild West,” Will Smith featuring Dru Hill and Kool Moe Dee

Ramona DeBreaux: “Golden,” Jill Scott. (Though it should be noted that Ramona found it hard to come up with just one, considering Amerie’s “Why Don’t We Fall In Love” and just about any Earth, Wind & Fire song runners-up).

Ryan Cameron: “Here I Go,” Mystikal (But to be honest, that was his second pick. “I Wanna Rock,” by Luke was No. 1, but is there a clean video of that song?!)

Elle Duncan: “Electric Relaxation,” A Tribe Called Quest

Greg Street: “Til Da Sun Come Up,” Glasses Malone featuring T-Pain, Rick Ross and Birdman

Lil Bankhead: “Racks,” YC featuring Future

DJ Infamous: “California Love,” 2Pac

Kenny Burns: “Step In The Name of Love,” R. Kelly (Some full disclosure on this one too: Kenny actually picked “Out Of My Head,” by Lupe Fiaco featuring Trey Songz, first – “It’s so summer! So nostalgic! That song just makes you want to get a girlfriend, or get a man, and hug them and dance with them at the same time? What song makes you want to hug and dance at the same time?!!”
Alas, there is no video for that song, yet, so he said his choice then could be anything from “Step” to “Keep On Moving,” by Soul II Soul to “Been Around The World,” by Lisa Stansfield to “Before I Let Go,” by Frankie Beverly & Maze.)
