On this week’s episode of “Love & Hip Hop” viewers got the chance to see a more sensitive side of Jim Jones as he talked about why he made the decision to marry longtime girlfriend, Chrissy Lampkin. The episode continued with a surprise engagement party. Then of course, DRAMA! But one thing stood out– the fact that a few of the girls felt the proposal was “staged for ratings”!

Monday On Love & Hip Hop: An Indecent Proposal Monday On Love & Hip Hop: An Indecent Proposal

Jim Jones proposed to Chrissy! That’s a great look being that “SHE” proposed to him last season after they had already been together 7 years (making them “Common Law Married” in some states). Unfortunately, Jim wasn’t ready at that time and Chrissy received no more than a mumbled, “I’m with you” from Jim.

This time may be the real thing! Or maybe not! The ring is beautiful, but just like those earrings Chrissy bought (when the two went to the jewelry store to replace Jim’s engagement ring that he “lost”), that she called her “pain killers”, this ring may just be another soothing method- A PACIFIER!!!

That’s exactly what Yandy “Bout My Checks and Keepin Up Mess” Smith implied after an altercation with Chrissy.

“She’s just mad cause she got a ring and he still ain’t gon marry her!”

Yandy said the ring is just an “INSTALLMENT PLAN” and Chrissy is installed for another 2 years.

And if that isn’t crazy enough, Chrissy came back and said- “Even if we never get married, I’m married in my heart!” So clearly she’s a little unsure about where the “engagement” will go and not oblivious to the fact that there is a possibility- THE RING WAS JUST TO SHUT HER UP!

The situation has turned from a little sad to desperate. It’s not enough that “DUE TO EDITING”, the women are often made to look dramatic, catty, insecure, and emotionally wounded, (while Non-African American women like Mob Wives can fuss, fight, and “hold down” their men in jail without being deemed “ghetto trash”) but these women also look clueless chasing after men that show no respect for them.

Hope they really get married, but for some reason I keep hearing Kim Zolciak singing “The ring didn’t mean a thing!”

I want to hear from you! What do you think?

Stay tuned…

I absolutely hate vh1 for the drama, but I live watching it, acting us acting. Reality is reality. They are ruining lives and friendships, while making young black women look bad and violent. We don’t have to fight/curse/throw drinks to get our points across
