It’s ok to tell someone to shut it up if truly needed…

So right here, right now I’m asking the soon to be incarcerated Floyd Mayweather, Jr. to do just that shut up!

It’s so funny how Floyd conducts his business on Twitter; first off he challenged Pacquiao to a fight via the social media service and now he’s playing the race card versus New York Knick point guard Jeremy Lin.

Yesterday Mayweather posted: “Jeremy Lin is a good player but all the hype is because he’s Asian. Black players do what he does every night and don’t get the same praise.”

There’s no doubt Floyd’s tweet has some validity but, who told Floyd that it was his duty to make this statement? After all this is the dude that recorded a video a few years back where he used racial and gay slurs towards Manny Pacquiao in addition to making fun of Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach who suffers from Parkinson’s disease.

Smells like hate to me…

Black, white, yellow, green, blue, or purple; color doesn’t matter the bottom line is that Lin has led the Knicks to five straight victories, including a 38-point game against the Lakers last weekend.

Jeremy Lin’s story is developing into a great one and New York Knicks’ fans deserve to have something to be excited about after all their team hasn’t been that successful since the end of the Patrick Ewing era in New York.

Some folks (Floyd) crave all the attention.

What African-American NBA players are you speaking on behalf of?

Shut up and stop being such a media whore…
