While Drake released a new video for “Started From The Bottom” on Sunday (February 10) he landed atop the GRAMMY nominees for for Best Rap Album.

The Canadian-born rapper bested Lupe Fiasco‘s Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album, Pt. 1, NasLife Is Good, The Roots‘ Undun, Rick Ross‘ God Forgives, I Don’t and 2 Chainz‘s Based On A T.R.U. Story.

After it was announced that Drake won the top rap album award, he tweeted his reaction: “I just tore the sleeve off my Saint Laurent!!! Thank you all! I am so happy!”

Drake was also nominated for Best Rap Performance for “HYFR (Hell Ya F—ing Right)” but lost to Jay-Z and Kanye West‘s “N****s In Paris.”

The Octoboer’s Very Own rapper released the song to his website on Friday (February 1) and quickly garnered remixes from Wiz Khalifa and Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em.

“I know that song just came out lol but I think it speaks to all of us, so I put my verse on it before everyone else does:-),” Khalifa tweeted on Saturday (February 2), a day after Drake dropped his song. The video, which he released on the eve of the GRAMMYs, shows Drake as a worker.

The Mr. X-directed video for “Started From The Bottom” opens with kids playing soccer. We see Drake as a worker in what appears to be a convenience store, where he is receiving a promotion. By the time the video ends, he’s partying in a mansion with his crew, surrounded by woman in bathing suits, and plenty of bottles to pop. Check out the video here.

“Started From The Bottom” will appear on Drake’s new album, Nothing Was the Same.
