I’ve gotten the photos and video from my 2nd Annual ‘Rising Media Stars Boot Camp’ and wanted to share them with you!

As part of this years camp the kids got a tour of FOX’s Good Day Atlanta and were so excited upon realizing they’d be featured on the morning show. They then took a trip to Atlantic Station for a tour of the Creative Loafing offices. They were so hands-on and enjoyed the Q&A session.

Last stop on Day 1 was to V-103 to help co-host my midday show. (Special thanks to VP of Programming, Reggie Rouse, radio personalities Big Tigger and Luscious, and many more of the V-103 family who took the time to talk with the kids and answer their questions).

On Day 2, the kids made their very own vision boards in which they visualized where they’d like to be in ten years. Many thanks to Janee Bolden, Senior Editor of Bossip.com, 11Alive anchor DeMarco Morgan, I For Talent Management’s Amber Noble-Garland and Kimberly Byer-Clark for sharing their knowledge of the media industry and their words of advice.

In what was probably the coolest moment over the course of two days, ATL Red Carpet came through and allowed the kids to be filmed during their mock ‘red carpet’ interviews.

I couldn’t be more proud of the group of young people who took part in the camp. They were such a bright, talented and committed bunch! Seeing them thrive and really absorb all of the information given to them made me feel like the future of global media will be left in good hands!
