By Big Tigger

The same day the news broke that VH1’s “CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story” had not only drawn enough viewers (a reported 4.5 million) to become the highest-rated original cable movie on television this year, but the most successful original movie VH1 has ever made, Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas was back home in Atlanta to talk about her group’s latest achievements. (With fellow surviving member Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins calling into The Big Tigger Show from California – her ever-present frankness as clear as if she were right here in the V-103 studio.

The problems original member Crystal Jones said she had with the way she was depicted in the biopic just the day before on The Ryan Cameron Morning Show – they addressed it

(“I would be mad if I got kicked out of my own group too – and TLC blew up!” Watkins said of Jones. “So sorry.”)

The problems they’ve heard Perri “Pebbles” Reid had with how the one-time manager of the multimillion-selling trio was represented – they deal with that thoughtfully, respectfully, but in the end pretty summarily too: “Get over it.”

And as has always been the case with the unabashed TLC – remember they did wear condoms on their baggy, flourescent costumes when THAT was considered sexually forward – they also took on questions about why instrumental producers Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds (co-founder of their LaFace Records label) and Jermaine Dupri (who convinced Watkins to sing in her signature “scruffy” register) had no real presence in “CrazySexyCool.” Whether they told everything they wanted to, in it. Everything Tigger asked.
