Hours before Tamar Braxton‘s sold-out performance at The Fox Theatre (opening for John Legend) she and her music mogul husband Vince Herbert stopped by The Big Tigger Show, and that slot machine whinny still ringing in everyone’s ears is the R&B singer’s hilarious take on what winning sounds like.
And she should know.
Again, her first tour as a solo artist is being greeted by capacity crowds. The first single and title track from her solo debut “Love & War” has gone platinum. She is now the co-star of – count ’em – THREE television shows: “Braxton Family Values,” “Tamar & Vince” AND it was just announced that her talk show with Tamera Mowry-Housley, Loni Love, Adrienne Bailon and Jeannie Mai, “The Real” has (after a four-week test run) just been picked up by Fox, to debut Fall 2014. There’s what she calls “a romantic Christmas album” due Nov. 11. And the proud couple welcomed first child Logan, featured with mommy recently on the cover of Ebony magazine.
With all of that going it comes as little surprise that she turned down an on-air invitation from Tigger to party with him and Legend at Reign tonight.
But it wasn’t because she’s too busy. She just “can’t imagine John popping, locking and dropping!”
And Braxton, you see, loves things a little more, shall we say, raw.
She explains, above.
