Atlanta NAACP Gears Up For Gun Buy Back, Emancipation Day And A New High School Cristo Rey Jesuit Coming To Atlanta For Underserved Children

The end of the year is coming and the  NAACP  is gearing up for new initiatives.  One  of them is the Atlanta Gun Buy Back  happening January  16th .  Mary Ross Interim Executive Director  of the NAACP  stops by to talk  who’s involved and why a gun  buy back is needed. Plus stay tuned as she gives us details on Jubilee day. The day slaves gained their freedom.  And A new private new catholic high school geared toward low income students and communities is coming to Atlanta 2014.  Patrick Medley is the Admission Coordinator and tells us about how young people will get a world class education;one preparing them specifically for college.  It’s a partnership between corporate companies like Coca Cola,  City of Atlanta and the Jesuit faith to  subsidize the education for underserved children in our community.
