With authorities searching his estate in California during a felony vandalism investigation, the DUI arrest in Miami and his surrender on assault charges in Canada, one might have forgotten that pop’s seemingly troubled pin-up actually has ties to The Motown of the South.

That is until Justin Bieber met up with entertainment mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, T.I., Rick Ross and Jermaine Dupri at Atlanta’s Vanquish Lounge (and seemingly within seconds was so overwhelmed with “southern hospitality,” perhaps, he forgot it was winter – and took off his shirt).

Posts on Twitter and Instagram from Bieber and other local artists and producers affirm that the part-time Alpharetta resident who got his start with Atlanta’s Usher and Scooter Braun is in town working with Dupri, AutoTune afficionado T-Pain and a wide assortment of other hip-hop artists.

In addition to being spotted shirtless at Vanquish (and summarily ridiculed on “TMZ Live” as “a circus act” to his fellow partiers), camera phones have captured him playing a pick-up game of hockey at Marietta Ice Center in east Cobb County and leaving tony Phipps Plaza in Buckhead after seeing the Kevin Hart/Ice Cube film “Ride Along.”

According to Bieber himself, via Twitter, he’s in his second home “building up positive energy.”

(Which also, according to local reports, included a stop at Zaxby’s).
