Meek Mill is no stranger to the social media beef, and his next big feud may involve rapper Joe Budden, but for now it seems a bit one-sided. Budden has critiqued Mill’s girlfriend Nicki Minaj in the past, and recently claimed that while he’s happy to criticize Drake in his new music, it shouldn’t be confused with a Meek alliance: the enemy of Joe’s enemy is not his friend, so to speak.
Meek claims that Budden is trying to start something, and he won’t take the bait. He allegedly wrote an Instagram comment to a fan which said, “Nobody ain’t Tryna come at that Shermhead/crackhead Joebuddens this n—- got the blogs to say I’m about to diss him. we running down on n—– off the internet… He’s infatuated with rappers lives n—- a podcaster now lol.”
Budden didn’t take kindly to the brush-off.
“Don’t speak my name to a fan,” he tweeted, without @-mentioning Meek. “Say it to me ni–a. Stand behind your ability to rap.”
Despite his best efforts, it doesn’t seem like a full-blown Meek feud is going to happen for Budden.
Don’t speak my name to a fan… Say it to me nigga. Stand behind your ability to rap.—
