On Monday, Mayor Kasim Reed and Atlanta Police Chief George Turner had a 2 hour meeting with protesters calling for justice in the wake of continued killings at the hands of police. Representatives of the Black Lives Matter movement presented a list of 25 suggested actions including an overhaul in APD training, mental health evaluations for officers, and the abolition of no-knock warrants.
