As one of the most recognizable voices in radio and the man behind the phrase “Its 6 o’clock, its 6 o’clock, time for Greg Street to Rock,” Greg Street is the true voice of the people. Having rocked the airwaves in Mississippi (WORV-WJMG), Alabama (WBLX 93), Houston (KMJQ), Dallas (K-104/KKDA) and currently holding it down in Atlanta (V-103/WVEE) all over a 20 year span, Street has definitely positioned himself as the music gateway to the South. This legendary DJ was an influential component to the careers of Rich Boy, 50 cent, Outkast, Rick Ross, Mary J. Blige, Puffy, T.I., Trina, Plies, Jazze Pha, Ciara, Akon, 8 Ball & MJG, Soulja Boy, Ying Yang Twins, Master P, Lil Wayne, Baby, Dj Khaled, Monica, Bow Wow, Keri Hilson, Chris Brown, Erykah Badu, Lil Jon, Polow Da Don and many more. In the past, Street has been awarded and recognized for his community influence and devotion to the music industry. A few of his accomplishments include Billboard’s Major Market Personality of the Year, NBPC Major Market Personality of the Year in 1997 and 1999, and he successfully became the first recipient of the Think B.I.G. Heart Award from the Christopher “Notorious B.I.G. Wallace Memorial Foundation. Aside from radio, Street hosts a list of annual events such as his Sneaker Friends Party, Car & Bike Show, Talent Showcase and The Greg Street Scholarship Fund Program. Being one of ATL’s most embraced community figures, one could definatley label Street as “the key to the city “.
