During her speech, shared her Administration’s vision for Atlanta and announced the creation of the city’s first Department of Transportation - a one-stop-shop, combining the work of multiple departments, to better deliver for Atlanta’s mobility future.

Mayor Bottoms spoke on several other topics during her address including her 'More than Mac' campaign with Kroger, her 'One Atlanta' campaign, the drop in the crime rate in the city over the past year, the city's 'Open Checkbook' online portal, gentrification, and her continued commitment to affordable housing.

"By 2026, our goal is to produce and preserve 20,000 units of affordable housing within the city of Atlanta. One of our top priorities is ensuring that longtime residents can remain in their neighborhoods…,” stated Mayor Bottoms
