Nicki Drops New Music!

Claims Cardi B & Quavo Hurt Her Feelings!

April 12, 2018

Alright alright, the day has come that all the Barbz have been waiting on!

It’s #NickiDay and Nicki Minaj dropped not one but two songs for her fans and I guess you could say haters as well.

The two singles are entitled “Chun Li” and “Barbie Tingz”.

On top of dropping new music, sis also spelled a lot of tea this morning during her exclusive interview on Beats 1 Radio with Zane Lowe.

So let’s get straight to it!

She started off the interview by saying that she’s been working on her new album since December and decided to take a break from social media and put her focus back into her music. She wanted to make music that was uplifting and empowering to other women. She’ll also be releasing a documentary with her album, but the documentary will be an Apple Music Exclusive. She always wanted the haters in the back to give her the credit she deserves for inking a deal with Mercedes and having a commercial with the company as a YOUNG BLACK woman and also signing producers and putting them on in the industry!

We see you, Nicki, we really do!

She then went on to congratulate Cardi B on her success and said that Cardi B is doing exactly what she is supposed to be doing. However, her feelings were hurt and she felt ambushed after seeing footage of Cardi B’s interview. Not only did she notice the aggravated gestures Cardi B displayed in the interview, she also didn’t care for how Cardi B painted her out to be the bad guy. She explained that she would’ve liked more of an acknowledgment from Cardi B the same way Trina acknowledge Nicki in the past. I’m not sure why the Trina part was needed but that’s another topic for another day so let’s carry on.

After Nicki saw the Cardi B interview she reached out to whom she called one of her industry “babies” Quavo. She asked him to have her back and help clear the air about her not being able to film with Cardi on the same day for the “Motorsport” video but Quavo wasn’t really feeling that request. He did, however, say that if the issue were to be brought up in an interview of his he would give his two cents. I’m just guessing that situation never got brought up because Nicki clearly still feels some type of way.

Moral of the story Nicki felt as though she was made to be the bad guy and would’ve appreciated and liked more support from her fellow artists at the end of the day.

Sheesh, that was a lot!
