Usher’s Excited About 2021 And Here’s Why

September 17, 2020

Usher virtually caught up with Big Tigger from Atlanta’s V-103 and RADIO.COM to discuss how 2021 is shaping up to be quite the year for the Atlanta singer.

After a couple informal hellos between bros, they got right to it. First up on the discussion list was Usher’s Vegas residency at Caesar’s Palace, which he will be starting in July of 2021. Tigger asked Ush to spill on how it all came about, and share just how excited his is. “Just working really hard,” Usher said, “eventually you climb that ladder, and you have this opportunity to be able to go to Vegas, you know.” Usher expressed his excitement of “being able to look forward to 2021,” after the complications and tribulations of 2020.

As for the show’s playlist, Tigger pointed out that Usher’s been doing his thang for long time and has quite a lot of songs to choose from, asking if a be dipping back further into the catalog than he would with a regular tour. “Without giving away what I’m thinking,” Usher shared,  “I have the ability to focus on specific albums at a time.” However keeping in mind the audience he’s accumulated throughout his career, he’s thought about “creating very specific moments,” continuing on, “who knows might go back to My Way, might go back to Confessions… being able to really hone in, adding that he he got that idea from Prince.

Over all Usher and Big also discussed the “limitations” between going on tour and having “no holds barred” with a residency in Vegas, the impending arrival of his baby with Jenn Goicoechea, and Usher even introduced “the beginning” of his album with the video for his latest single “Bad Habits.”
